A savage, bitter, ultimately tragic self-portrait.
By M. Chapman
In her Oscar acceptance speech for Best Picture, Julia Phillips described herself as a "nice Jewish girl from Great Neck." Well, she got 2/3 of it right. But nice? No way.
This book is one of the greatest acts of literary self-immolation ever published. It's hard not to feel sorry for Phillips at first, suffering as she does from a toxic mother, a workaholic father, insomnia and a Talmudic intellect.
But you get over that feeling in a hurry, as Phillips bullies, maneuvers, sleeps and stomps her way to the top, winning an Oscar for The Sting at the unheard-of age of 29. Her motto: overcompensate; overachieve. If you can't be best, be first.
As she notes, no young person is ever ready for massive success, and her career crashed just as quickly. After being more or less fired from Close Encounters by Steven Speilberg, her life became a broken record of drug abuse, failed relationships, financial problems and closed doors gleefully slammed by those she used and abused on the way up. Through it all she makes it all seem like a big game, but the human wreckage strewn across the landscape will give the reader pause.
It's hard to know whether Phillips' broadsides at anyone and everyone with whom she had contact are simply through spite, or whether we'd all be better off if Hollywood simply disappeared in the next big quake. Phillips claims that she's just being honest, but snide remarks about a crewmember's physical deformity make her seem only nasty.
Hate it as she did, Phillips revelled in the politics, the backstabbing, the lies and shallowness, the feeling of power that came with the title of Producer. She learned fast ("Always negotiate the height and WIDTH of your [on-screen] credit," she advises, after her on-screen credit for The Sting is "willow thin.") Her films (Taxi Driver, The Sting, Close Encounters, among others) were good, though one gets the sense it was in spite of her take-no-prisioners approach.
One wishes at the end that Phillips would "get it," but instead she reaps what she sews. There was to be no Hollywood redemption for her. Phillips' death this january was untimely, but no human being could possibly survive for long carrying around so much bile. Very much worth the read, even only as a cautionary tale.

Lunch in the Fast Lane
By A Customer
I recently picked up "You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again" at my local Store ...after all, I like a change from the fantasy of novel reading, to the fantasy of stars and their satelites. If it's cheap enough. I enjoy the irony of the tales of wealth and excesses of people who have (& abuse) so much, while we mere mortals are stressing over the next rent payment, thankful we aren't among the homeless and hungry.
I expected standard Hollywood dirt-dishing. I was unprepared for the vengeful & venomous whining from a woman who'd once set a new standard for women in 'the industry', yet never saw she'd helped create the viper's nest she later exposed in over 600 paqes of difficult to read complaining.
Yet I read it all. I thought the bitter and mean-spirited texture of the book, with it's raw self-revelation/loathing theme, would have some gentler conclusion, message, or lesson learned by the author. It didn't. As tough as Julia Phillips was, she never beat her addiction...to Hollywood.
Julia lost sight of the fact that though she was singular in a particular era of film making, she was not unique in the battle with the temptations of self-medication, or the quest for happiness we all make. This "but I'm so special as a woman" sexist vein is the glue that held this book together, and would have been acceptable to the reader if we could feel at the end that Julia ever really "got it". I found the book drew me into the nastiness, though it seemed obvious the fine details of every deal or friendship were written for insiders. Name- dropping as the weapon of choice.
We all love the movies; have our favorite actors and directors; we like to believe there really is some impossible magic, and that true artistry will win out and be noticed in a flood of wannabes. Julia tells us that's not the case. One must admire the uncompromising dog-fight honesty of her book, if not the mercenary sour grapes.
Last night, watching the 2002 Oscars, I learned that Julia had died. And I saw Robert Redford's moving speech, with his plea for freedom of expression. I hope that is possible; Julia's book makes me fear it's not. Is Sundance still as unsullied as at its original conception?
Julia would not have missed the irony of me finding her book in the [local] store, in barely read condition.

Needs more clarity--2.5 stars
By S. Winterich
A girl brought up in New York in the 1940s and 1950s by liberal, educated parents comes of age during the dawn of youth culture and the rock and roll era. She matriculates from Mount Holyoke College, finds work in magazine publishing and soon makes a lateral move into the film industry. As half of a husband-and-wife production team, she co-produces "The Sting," "Taxi Driver" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and later becomes a studio exec. Never secure in her unique male-dominated business/creative Hollywood environment, she divorces her co-producer, spends heavily, and spirals into drug addiction with a series of financially dependent live-in boyfriends.

There are a number of things to like here. Julia Phillips was bright, witty and articulate. We learn something about how business is done in Hollywood, how egos are flexed and about the junior high social games and power plays, such as deliberately showing up late for scheduled meetings: for all the mirror gazing done by people in the industry, there is little seeing of oneself, she explains. Insights about Redford, Coppola, DeNiro, Beatty, Madonna, Penn, Scorsese, Spielberg, Geffen and author Erica Jong (and, bizarrely, an evening with G. Gordon Liddy and Timothy Leary) are compelling. When published in 1991, this book was overhyped as an expose'. Nothing here rises to the level of shock (except that she hid her cocaine freebasing, and the substance abuse of her live-in boyfriends, from her ex-husband for years as she retained custody of their young daughter). Ms. Phillips bluntly criticizes some well-known, powerful people in her book, but never without an explanation, and without sparing herself. (Rumor has it that Jong refused to spare Phillips, portraying her as the detestable "Britt Goldstein" in her novel "How to Save Your Own Life.")

While apparently a talented manager and hard worker, Ms. Phillips had the arrogance of a New Yorker and a directness that alienated some of her business associates. Her directness unfortunately does not translate to her narrative. The style overwhelms the story, to the point of obscuring what exactly is going on, and unclear prose keeps this biography safely out of the "can't put down" category. For example, she drops far too many first names of unknown casual friends and business associates, without ever developing or illustrating their importance to her story, if any, until she enlightens us later...sometimes. Certain passages ranging in length are set apart and told in a detached third person. Still other, shorter portions are formatted like a movie script. Much better writers can use these kinds of narrative shifts only with difficulty. At least this story is mostly chronological. The hardback edition (573 pages) should be at least 150 pages shorter. Ms. Phillips' story, a good story, is not particularly well-told.

Superior reading may be found in Robert Evans' "The Kid Stays in the Picture" and in Joe Eszterhas' "Hollywood Animal." (2.5 stars)

"... these lectures provide an extremely clear, readable, and at times amusing exposition of Jung's theories. In them Jung not only describes his views on the structure of the mind, giving lucid accounts of his psychological types, of the personal and collective unconscious and of archetypes, but also explains vividly his techniques of dream analysis and active imagination and the role played by transference in analytic therapy."

-- Charles Rycroft, The New York Review of Books

"...Jung was a charismatic personality: and this volume bears witness not only to his erudition and his originality but also to his charm and his persuasiveness."

-- The Times Literary Supplement (London)

"This, surely, is the most lucid, simple and orderly introduction to the basic principles and methods of the Jungian science of the psyche that has yet been offered to the public."

FIVE LECTURES THAT GIVE AN EXCELLENT OVERVIEW OF JUNG
By Steven H Propp
This book contains five lectures (recorded nearly verbatim) that Jung gave in 1935 to the Institute of Medical Psychology in London. Each lecture concludes with questions and answers ("Discussions") from the 200 doctors who were present.

Here are some representative quotations from the book:

"These collective patterns I have called archetypes, using an expression of St. Augustine's... From these layers derive the contents of an impersonal, mythological character, in other words, the archetypes, and I call them therefore the impersonal or collective unconscious." (Lect. 2)
"There is nothing mystical about the collective unconscious. It is just a new branch of science, and it is really commonsense to admit the existence of unconscious collective processes. For, though a child is not born conscious, his mind is not a tabula rasa." (Lect. 2)
"I must repeat again that my methods do not discover theories, they discover facts, and I tell you what facts I discover with these methods. I cannot discover a castration complex or a repressed incest or something like that---I find only psychological facts, not theories." (Disc. 2)
"Tao can be anything. I use another word to designate it, but it is poor enough. I call it synchronicity." (Disc. 2)
"Mystics are people who have a particularly vivid experience of the processes of the collective unconscious. Mystical experience is experience of archetypes." (Disc. 3)
"It is my personal psychology, my prejudice that I see psychological facts as I do. I admit that I see things in such and such a way. But I expect Freud and Adler to do the same and confess that their ideas are their subjective point of view." (Disc. 4)
"I have had some patients who, after having had analysis with me, even joined the Catholic Church, just as I have had some patients who now go to the so-called Oxford Group Movement---with my blessing!" (Lect. 5)

Best insight into Jung
By Lowdly DoBad
This book was the most concise, easily understood insight into Jung's personality and theories. It doesn't read like a boring text, but is rather a series of speeches that contains face to face challenges to Jung's work by his colleagues. Within his answers it becomes easier to glean and simplify his vast body of work within the topics he discussed in the lectures. If you wanna understand Jung but have trouble understanding his concepts, this book lays it out nicely.

From Slavery To Freedom, John Hope Franklin
By John L. Horton
I bought this "Black Bible" by Dr. John Hope Franklin for a friend.
I have used this book for almost 40 years as a student, teacher and researcher.
I have taught Black History for over 30 years: college, consultant, and community.
In my opinion, this is the foremost textbook and research tool for learning and teaching all aspects of "African-American/Black History."
I received prompt and professional service in obtaining this book via Amazon resources.
I am completely satisfied with the purchase of this item via Amazon, etc....
I appreciate a job well done!

"Lewis Grizzard is one of America's zaniest writers."
THE ORLANDO SENTINEL
Funny, sad, outrageous, irresistible, and unforgettably true, here is Lewis Grizzard's one-way, non-stop climb to the top of the newspaper heap. Of course, along the way, he drove a train and was a preacher, but the one and only life for this self-proclaimed Promising Young Man from Georgia was that of the ink-stained, stop-the-presses, honest-to-gosh newspaperman. This is his story.

From Library Journal
This book chronicles Grizzard's ascension in the world of the daily newspaper to the highly coveted position of syndicated columnist. Getting his first newspaper job at age ten, he determinedly set out to rise through the ranks as a sportswriter, working for papers in Athens and Atlanta, Georgia, before taking a sports editor position in Chicago. After three years in Chicago, he landed his current job as a columnist for the Atlanta Constitution . Grizzard's voyage in the world of journalism exposed him to all kinds of adventure and eccentric personalities, and his descriptions are wildly amusing. When Grizzard touches on the more serious side of his personal life, his efforts are weaker and more superficial. On the whole, however, the book provides a comical and insightful look into the usually crazy world of the daily newspaper. A good choice for general and newspaper collections. Previewed in Prepub Alert, LJ 4/15/90.

Wins Funniest Title Award
By Amazon Customer
The titles of Grizzard's books are the most funny part of them. He talks in this book how he always concentrated on having a zippy title for his content so that the reader would want to read on. This book is his life story in the newspapers and when he was growing up. I get the impression he is a anti-intellectual common man who loved his sports, tabloid people stories, pretty ladies, beer, cigarettes, and the Elvis diet. And he especially loved newspapers. His story is not all comedy and he has many stories of his news buddies dying an untimely death. I will say that's probably due to the long hours, low pay, divorces, newsroom stress, beer, cigarettes, traditional southern diet, and lack of sleep. But no matter, these quirky characters loved the newspapers also, so they lived a good short life.

Grizzard even went up north to Chicago in a management position for one of its papers. It was folly though. He should have remembered that southerners don't like the north and vice-versa. He didn't like the two seasons of weather, "winter and the fourth of July", as he puts it. And he couldn't get any grits or pork barbeque. He alsos had trouble with an affirmative action hire that played the race card when he got fired for being a terrible writer and columnist who wouldn't listen to advice. There was a lawsuit and Grizzard was tarred as a racist from the south. The plaintiff won and was back in the newsroom again, although Grizzard appears to be a fair-minded, but naïve man who just wants a quality paper put out. He does make a lot of sarcastic comments about political correctness. Ironically, it was political correctness that helped win the suit against him.

Grizzard enjoyed the first part of his career most when he worked for a new newspaper that was competing with a really bad local one in Athens, Georgia. He liked the competition of getting a scoop before the other paper did and the tabloid people stories, such as a woman getting her pet chicken stuck up in a tree. Grizzard loved the local news and didn't really care about "riots in South Yemen", as he put it. He also did a story on a police chief who threaten him with violence when he asked him about speed traps in a small community. The extent of the story was that one question and reaction, but it got the chief fired--mission accomplished. To be a good newsman, it helps if you like making a nuisance of yourself.

But that paper got bought out by the rival, and it was on to the Atlanta Journal and then the Constitution. He met one of his heroes and then after getting to know him, found out that he was the tyrant of news room, always ready to blame others for supposed mistakes in the sports section. Grizzard also had trouble with the printer's union that often gave some workers an uncooperative attitude towards getting things done before the dead line. He even had someone called the Reverend, a printer who started speaking in tongues right before a deadline. This event made the paper go over the deadline. One guy died in the ever stressful printing/composing room where everyone is screaming at each other to get the paper out on time. They put his obit in second edition and carried on. After reading through it, I thought that a normal person would be disappointed about being a journalist, but no matter to Grizzard, he still loved newspapers.

This is a good book for finding out how journalism worked during the sixties and seventies. It's got some chuckles throughout, although nothing as roll-on-the-floor funny as "The Dog that Bit People" by James Thurber or as good a style as Class by Paul Fussell, those other famous satirists. Grizzard seems to make some errors in logic in the book; must have been the beer.

One of Lewis's best
By A Customer
IMO, this is one of Lewis's best works. It is not a collection of columns as many of his books were, but an autobiographical account of his career as a journalist, spanning from his days at the University of Georgia and working for the Athens newspaper to his brief career in Chicago to his eventual, grateful return to Atlanta.
Inspiring, thoughtful, and downright funny at the same time (the scene with one of Lewis's editors planning coverage of the Second Coming is a riot), If I Ever Get Back to Georgia would make a great gift for any college student aspiring to break into newspapers. What better way to be inspired than to read one of the great Southern humorists!

Natural Symbols: Explorations in Cosmology, by Mary Douglas

Every natural symbol - derived from blood, breath or excrement - carries a social meaning and this work focuses on the ways in which any one culture makes its selections from body symbolism. Each person treats their body as an image of society and the author examines the varieties of ritual and symbolic expression and the patterns of social ritual in which they are embodied. Natural Symbols is a book about religion and it concerns our own society at least as much as any other. It has stimulated new insights into religious and political movements and has provoked re-appraisals of current progressive orthodoxies in many fields. As a classic, it represents a work of anthropology in its widest sense, exploring themes such as the social meaning of natural symbols and the image of the body in society which are now very much in vogue in anthropology, sociology and cultural studies.

From Library Journal
An entertaining biography that reads like a novel, this is the story of a real-life spy heroine, Pack, a diplomat's wife who was one of Britain's most successful spies during World War II. Relying upon her charm, intelligence, and connections in the diplomatic world, she met and became the lover of diplomats and other officials, from whom she obtained vital secrets in a dangerous and exciting game of espionage. The author has thoroughly researched and carefully documented her subject, presenting the story of Pack in all of its dimensions, revealing in the process a woman who led a flawed but fascinating life. This carefully crafted, well-written, and readable book should appeal to a variety of readers, from World War II buffs to intrigue aficionados. Lovell is the author of two other skillful biographies of interesting women, Straight on Till Morning: The Biography of Beryl Markham ( LJ 9/15/87) and The Sound of Wings: The Life of Amelia Earhart ( LJ 10/15/89). Libraries that purchasesd these will want this one too.

From Kirkus Reviews
Women spies--often notoriously glamorous and driven as much by the thrills as the cause--have customarily used seduction to get what they want. Betty Pack, the subject of this latest biography by Lovell (The Sound of Wings, 1989; Straight on Till Morning, 1987), was a typical woman spy. Not so typical, though, was the significance of her accomplishment. Acknowledged as responsible for providing some of the most important British communications intelligence of WW II, the American-born Pack was a woman ``who took life as she found it, happily meeting challenge after challenge head-on, no matter what the consequences of the collision.'' Described as the most beautiful debutante of the Washington season, she was married at 19 to Arthur Pack, a British diplomat who had impregnated her. The child's birth was kept a secret for many years as Pack, a ``dreadful parent,'' let her son be reared by a foster family in England. Her espionage activities began while stationed in Civil War Spain and continued when her husband was transferred to Poland, where she seduced a top-ranking Pole from whom she learned details of the German Enigma code-machine. Her most significant triumphs, though, came in Washington. There, she seduced and turned an Italian admiral, as well as a Vichy French diplomat from whom she obtained ciphers that gave the Allies vital information about enemy movements. Loyal but unreflective, Pack had methods that were daring and unorthodox--her after-hours nude appearance at the French Embassy so stunned a suspicious nightwatchman that he fled, facilitating the opening of the safe holding the ciphers. Pack's life in France after the war was poignantly anticlimactic; she began writing her memoirs, but died in 1963 from cancer before they were complete. Solid research and tribute paid where due, though Pack, despite all the glamorous and daring things she did, and despite Lovell's best efforts, never quite comes alive here. Disappointing. Move Over, Mata Hari!
By Ruth B. Kaplan
Having been weaned on old B&W WWII espionage and romance behind the lines movies, I thought the reality would pall by comparison. How wrong I was! This fascinating look into the life of an unsung heroine of WWII is better than most fictions about the era. It includes lots of juicy details, such as speculating whether Arthur Pack was indeed the father of Betty's first child, Antony, who was fostered out and raised in England by another family, and only visited by his globe-trotting mother a couple of times during his childhood. Such tid bits, along with analysis of Betty's personality and why she was so promiscuous, make this an entertaining and stimulating read. There is no question that Betty Thorpe Pack was capable of being both seductive and abrasive by turns. What emerges is a picture of a thoroughly human individual who used her strengths and failings to aid in her country's defense. An overlooked story in the history of women.

Embassy spy
By Peter Clarke
This is an interesting, well researched biography (1992) of American-born spy Amy Elizabeth ("Betty") Thorpe Pack, who obtained valuable information that had a significant impact on WW2. This began around 1938 in Warsaw, where her British husband Arthur Pack was a diplomat. She became successively the mistress of two Polish diplomats and thus obtained some of the earliest evidence about Polish progress in breaking the Enigma code, and about Polish foreign minister Beck's connivance with Hitler. At this time she also burgled an office in Czechoslovakia, obtaining Hitler's plans to invade much of Europe. Later, in Washington, she had love affairs with an Italian Admiral, then a Vichy-French diplomat, enabling her to obtain an Italian secret cipher, and then a French one. The capture of these ciphers had important consequences for a naval battle of the British against the Italians, and then for the American invasion of Morocco and Algeria.

Why was she so successful? Certainly she combined a very sharp mind with an attractive physique. But one of the key things was that she formed real emotional attachments to her "targets". She didn't just offer sex. She didn't have to fake her love, because she really felt it (but she considered this a weakness in a spy). After the war she continued to live with the French diplomat that she "turned" (Charles Brousse), and she finally married him after Arthur Pack's death.

I'm glad I bought and read this book.

Cast No Shadow
By Chief
This is a book about a "Real American Heroine" that helped shape the outcome of World War II. It tells of the sacrifice and danger that a few elite women (and men) risked all to help preserve our freedoms, that we enjoy today. Todays youth and those of other generations, that choose to live with "their heads stuck in the sand" need to read this book. They might then come to a realization that these people risk being captured, tortured and then killed, just so that we, as Americans, can enjoy our hard won freedoms. Two other enlightening sources are, A Man Called Intrepid and The Great Raid. A Man Called Intrepid: The Incredible WWII Narrative of the Hero Whose Spy Network and Secret Diplomacy Changed the Course of HistoryThe Great Raid on Cabanatuan: Rescuing the Doomed Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor

"A rich and readable introduction to the whole sweep of Russian cultural and intellectual history from Kievan times to the post-Khruschev era." - Library Journal. Illustrations, references, index.

From the Back Cover
'...I cannot begin to touch on the riches of this book. It is packed with detail without being dry, vivid without being 'colorful, ' and wide-ranging without crying up special theories. This is, moreover, a cultural history in which is implicit the knowledge that ideas do not follow simply from other ideas, that cultural history interprets and modifies political and economic history but rides on their currents and is swayed by their events.

About the Author
Billington is one of the world's leading experts in Russian art, history and culture and a policy advisor to several Presidential administrations.

Not what I expected, but very good
By A Customer
I had expected this book to be a more traditional political and military history, a "who and where" type. This book is actually a very thorough handling of Russian religion, art and literature. The author seems to assume that the reader already knows basic facts of Russian history, such as its leaders, its major wars, etc. However, even if the reader is not familiar with these aspects of history, the book is still very readable. I feel I have a greater understanding of Russian literature and culture than I might have with a more traditional history. It is unfortunate that the the book only covers up to the mid 1960s, because the events of the past 15 years are unprecedented since the revolution of 1917.

Outstanding!
By Jimmy Porter
This book evidently is the result of a disertation as it has the typical structure of such a document. It really needs to be read in conjunction with other books on Russian History to get its full impact. It is highly documented with lots of notes. It gives Russian history a new look, telling you why Russia had to do certain things. It was very enlightening and well organized and written. I would give it a must buy recommendation.

Well-Written, but Flawed
By K. B. Housley
There should be a number of apologies made for this book simply on account of its age. There is one recent competitor to it in English, Figes's "Natasha's Dance", but I have not read it, and cannot compare the two.

There is a sort of symbol of the book's flaws in its frequent use of the term "organic religious civilization". The term is never defined, never showed: It is simply used as a short hand to remove medieval and early modern Rus from the reader's sphere of reference and retain its alien nature. Certainly, the Orthodox religion is key to understanding the differences between West European and Russian culture, but Billington seems to have little understanding of it, which leads to deep misunderstandings in the work. Hesychasm is interpreted as an analogue to Protestantism; the basic issues over which the Old Belief schism happened are confused or misstated; Orthodoxy is, in short, throughout displayed as a shadow of Western Chrisitanity. It is not a mistake of his age, either. Billington had access to the great theologians and religious historians of the Russian emigres, but except for a couple of citations from Lossky regarding iconography, he seems to have ignored it.

The other issue with the work is a very mid-20th century whitewashing of the Soviet state and the Communist Revolution. Billington primarily portrays it as the triumph of westward-looking St. Petersburg over Moscow, and in the context of the book's narrative, that sounds like an endorsement. Stalin is simply seen as being on a continuum with Ivan the Terrible, and is interpreted for the book's West European readers as just another example of Russian strangeness.

This review is in no way exhaustive, and I would certainly note that the book deserves the three stars which I gave it. However, I worry that when the book showed stark weaknesses in areas that I am very familiar with, that it may have shown weaknesses in others I am more ignorant of. I can forgive mischaracterizations in Billington's brief asides into military history (after all, such is not the focus of the work), but shortcomings in its core need to be taken seriously.

Special color edition of classic adventures
By Paul Brians
These are some early Mickey Mouse adventures, beautifully colored for this publication. Some of these are from Sunday comics adventures, originally published in color but here vividly recolored. The original daily newspaper comics were in black and white, of course. They were colored for reprinting in comic book form (I grew up reading them in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories), but these are not reprint of those comic book versions. They are freshly colored and lovingly edited by the staff of Another Rainbow, the predecessor of Gladstone and Gemstone, which brought classic Scrooge McDuck and Mickey Mouse strips back into print in America for decades, and translated European Disney comics for American readers.

Serious collectors will also want to buy the current Fantagraphics reprint volumes (Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Collector's Box Set (Vol. 1-2) (Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse)), but this book makes a great introduction to the Mouse few Americans know, and who is still loved around the world.

This would make a great gift to a child to introduce Mickey the adventurer, but is also treasure for adult collectors.

Contents:
Introductory material of great interest to Mouse fans.

Sunday strips:
Rumplewatt the Giant (1934)
Dr. Oofgay's Secret Serum (1934)
The Case of the Vanishing Coats (1935)
The Robin Hood Adventure (1936)

Daily strips:
Blaggard Castle (1932)
Pluto and the Dogcatcher (1933)
The Mail Pilot (1933)
Mickey Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot (1939)

Discover Why Mickey Is the Greatest Cartoon Invention EVER
By Reginald Williams
So many people criticize Mickey Mouse as too cute, too nice, too goody-goody, and don't even get me started on his high pitched feminine voice...but that's the cartoon/animated Mickey.
There's another Mickey...a detective...a thrill-seeker...a benelovent soul. THIS is the Mickey Mouse of the comic strips.
This large book originally issued as 5,000 [...]editions signed by both Carl Barks (did you know that a wrote a Mickey Mouse story?) and Floyd Gottfredson features some of the finest comic book stories ever.
"Blaggard Castle", "The Mail Pilot", and "The Phantom Blot" will alone revolutionize your image of the The Mouse.
I kid you not. Donald, Bugs, Scooby, Felix, Yogi, The Simpsons or any of these other new fangled comic and cartoon inventions don't stand a chance compared to Mickey. Check it out!
